Our reading books are designed to promote reading fluency and literacy by using modern and professional techniques and strategies that parents and institutions can use to support student's reading development. The Kingston to the Rescue books feature a list of sight words to help students and parents take control of their reading education while not in school.
We use the Fry Sight Words list which is based on the "American Heritage Word Frequency Book", whose 87,000 words are ranked by the frequency in which they occur in reading material for grades third through seventh.
We also incorporate Dolch sight words which are based on high-frequency words that students in first through fourth grades typically would be reading in school.
